About Me

My name is Tatiana. This blog is an assignment for my Comm. 435 course- Opinion & Editorial Writing. I'm a student at CSUF, majoring in Communications with an emphasis in Broadcast Journalism...watch out, Katie Couric! I aspire to become a news broadcaster for a global news corporation *cough* BBC *cough* CNN *cough* and connect people through the telling of stories that transcend the social and cultural barriers that dictate much of today's media. Through compassion, conviction and curiosity, I hope to shed light on truth, advocate awareness, and encourage proactive engagement to address real issues. Surely no easy task. But the first step is to actively familiarize yourself with the world as you know it. For the past 21 years, I have been a student. My world has revolved around school and the knowledge one obtains in and out of the classroom. This is the "Titanic Semantic", a jaded and debatably humorous view of student life.
